Two sisters, Bridget Coles and Karen Young joined forces and cities in 2004 to start Furnishscene. Their combination of different skills in interior design and business management formed a strong team and business model.

They both have a combined 35 years of experience in the design industry specialising in soft furnishings, colour and paint, and moved into furniture design, spatial design and full concepts. The most recent asset being Archicad with the ability of 3D fly throughs' of your interiors and computer aided drawings of furniture layouts etc.

As the business grew so did the team and the premises. Emma Gale and Anne Roy are also both fully qualified interior designers with ANZCID and years of experience.

Furnishscene designers work together as a team to maximise ideas, skills and continuity. However one designer will lead your project. The team is very down to earth and practical. They realise there is nothing  glamorous  about being on a building site. Each designer is prepared to get their hands dirty and work hard therefore you will usually find them in jeans.

Most business is referred, so it is very important to the designers that your home is unique from your friends and matches your personality and goals.

The premises  is spacious, central, friendly and has car parking on site. It is packed with samples from flooring, paints, kitchen and joinery finishes, lighting, furniture, fabrics and bedding.

The team travel throughout NZ and overseas to purchase product and view new ideas to keep up with the latest trends.

They cover any size job from a colour scheme to a complete refit and have worked on both new and refurbished residential and commercial projects.
