jamesjamesdesign, Feilding
Customised interiors to reflect your style, I offer specialist advice, practical, versatile and enduring solutions with an emphasis on quality fabrics and furnishings.
One of my favourite quotes: "Have nothing in your house that you
do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" William
Morris.
Not surprisingly the questions I'm often asked are: "How
does this work? How much will it cost?" And a fear often expressed;
"Will you impose your taste on me?" My role as your interior
designer is to guide you through the options. Ultimately the
choices are yours.
Firstly I will call for an obligation free assessment. I will
listen, observe and access your needs. From this conversation I
compile a 'loose concept scheme'. As an independent designer I
source far and wide for your project alone so you can be assured of
a unique bespoke look.
Once these ideas have been discussed, honed and budget agreed -
the next stage is overseeing the manufacture of competitively
priced furniture. I supply and manufacture curtains, blinds and
reupholster furniture using the best workrooms and I source
directly from the manufacturer or importer. Liaison with contactors
and other suppliers to make sure your job runs smoothly is a
key part of the process. All work is guaranteed.
As to my design fee, the good news is that a design scheme to
make the best of your home doesn't have to cost the earth. I
believe in making interior design accessible so strive to produce a
quality product within budget. My typical fee for putting together
colour, flooring kitchen, bathroom finishes, lighting, wallpaper
options, accessories, through to art and rugs typically ranges from
$800 to $1200.
I'll take great pleasure discovering your style and dreams,
working with you to turn these into practical versatile and unique
design schemes for you to live in and enjoy.
I look forward to helping you achieve the look you want for your
home.
