Libby Beattie Interior Design, Wellington
I’ll help you express your own style through unique furniture and furnishings, and help you design the spaces in your home to match your lifestyle.
I trained as an interior designer in London at the Inchbald
School of Design in the 1980s and then worked for ten years in
Europe before returning to New Zealand. In France I spent three
years converting a fifteenth century chateau into apartments for
holiday retreats. The simple elegant living of France and the
European style of mixing traditional with modern design elements
have been enduring influences on my work.
In New Zealand, I've run a design practice since 1998 working
with residential and commercial clients throughout New Zealand.
I've also taught interior design, been the resident designer on
TVNZ's Good Morning show and worked as a set stylist for television
dramas and advertising photo shoots.
My work with clients is varied. I undertake projects of varying
size - from creating individual bespoke furnishings and furniture
pieces to a full interior design service.
Everyone is different, but the basic formula for creating a home
that you love is the same - design interior spaces that function
well, keep your personal treasures close, and fill it with
beautiful furniture and furnishings.
I'd love to meet you at my studio showroom at 24 Elizabeth
Street, Mount Victoria, Wellington.
